Some people know Ariana “Ari” Fletcher as a social media influencer who has learned the business of influencer marketing and made a lot of money doing it. But in her own words, the businesswoman will tell you, “I’m growing up, influential, underrated, hard-working, and a loving mother.” She also prides herself on being strong and disciplined.
Since joining Instagram in 2014, Fletcher has grown his audience to 5.6 million followers, which it strategically leverages to position itself for revenue-generating opportunities. Over the years, he has formed multiple businesses. One of the companies she is most proud of is her best-selling beauty band, REMEDY BY ARIwhich he worked on for two years before its release in August.

“I’ve always been a glamor girl. I was playing around with makeup, and while I was in the middle of my schedule and monetizing my social media account, I realized this is exactly what I want to do. So, I made it a priority to form a team to bring my vision to life,” says Fletcher. “You can’t do it, you can’t do it alone. I’ll never take all the credit. My team is amazing. I’m so thankful for them.”
Two years later, just three hours after the online launch, customers bought all the products and left others waiting until the next replenishment. Fletcher, a self-taught makeup enthusiast who learned her palette on YouTube, says she was blown away by the outpouring of support.
“I am super grateful [for the launch’s success]But I think I underestimated myself. I dream big, but this exceeded my expectations,” says Fletcher.
As support continues to grow for REMEDY BY ARISo is Fletcher as an entrepreneur. “I’ve always been good at marketing. This is how I’ve been able to grow my platform. Now, I’m learning a lot about customer service, logistics, and e-commerce.” One advantage Fletcher has is his experience of making six-figure deals with major brands and media companies, along with his insights from meeting business with leading luminaries. “Over the years, I have worked with so many different brands and companies that I have learned from doing business with them.”
The culmination of those experiences influences how you build your teams.
“My business manager is very hands-on and smart. We do a lot of research and create processes to build teams. We use different teams for different projects, so we don’t have one person who does everything or has too much control,” says Fletcher.
Fletcher is rooted in the family
Another significant influence is motherhood and the support of her family.
“My family has always been my main source of motivation and inspiration for everything I do. I have many people who depend on me and it makes me happy to be able to introduce myself and be the person they can count on, “says Fletcher. Someone who undoubtedly has Fletcher is his son. Though she says he’s used to the finer things in life, she’s also teaching him the value of saving at a young age.
“He’s a very spoiled kid, but he has his own big piggy bank. Every time he gets money, I always tell him, ‘You have to remember that it’s very important that you save your money,’” says Fletcher. “Now, if someone gives him money, he always says, I have to go put this in my piggy bank. He never asks to open the piggy bank or take money out of it.” Moments like that make her proud she instills healthy money habits and the value of saving on your child so that it can benefit later in life.
Be who you need in business
As Fletcher shows up for loved ones, online and in business, he also prioritizes scheduling downtime into his calendar.
“At the end of the day, we all need a break and time for ourselves. Having time for myself in between my busy schedule ensures that I am mentally, spiritually, and physically fit to be able to keep making moves. We must be mentally fit to be able to execute the work Fletcher says with conviction.
Fletcher also believes in pursuing your passions. He will dedicate himself to two of his own from the business point of view: cooking and designing.
“I love to cook! It’s very therapeutic for me. I cook twice a day when I’m home with my baby, and he loves my kitchen. So we hardly ever eat out,” says Fletcher. Their Youtube channel She has amassed over 420,000 subscribers who watch her cook and chat with friends. Now, she has a ghost kitchen and a condiment business in the making. Fletcher is also excited to design and launch a swimwear line at the end of the year and her new BET+ series, “Impact ATL,” featuring other successful influencers and entrepreneurs in Atlanta, Georgia.
