PANAJI: Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre, Assagao were the overall champions at Goa University and held the 2022-23 Women’s Judo Intercollegiate Championships on 22-23 Sep 2022 at Goa University Jubilee Hall .
More than 65 athletes from various affiliated universities participated in 8 different weight categories.
Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Center, Assagao, were the overall champions, while Vidya Prabodhini College of Commerce, Education, Computer and Management, Porvarim and VM Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar took second and third place overall respectively.
The Main Guest of the championship was Sanjay Bandodkar, Head of Computer Center, University of Goa and Guest of Honor Smt. Jaya Patil, judo coach and physical education teacher under the DSYA rule. from Goa, she graced the occasion and handed out the medals and trophies to the winners.
