Fashion highlights from the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
The Platinum Jubilee weekend was packed with memorable fashion, from the Queen’s pearl-embellished Trooping the Color suit to Prince Louis’s little sailor suit.
Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations were packed with lavish spectacles to mark 70 years of the British monarch’s reign. And with the packed schedule of events, which included a tribute service at St. Paul’s Cathedral and a concert at Buckingham Palace, many fashion highlights arrived. Members of the Royal Family were seen over the four-day weekend dressed in soft color palettes, structured silhouettes and, of course, elaborate headpieces.
The Queen herself wore some of the most memorable looks from the Jubilee, including an ice blue pearl-embellished ensemble on Thursday and a bright green coat and matching hat for a surprise appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace on Sunday. The funniest outfit of hers was perhaps the blue and yellow dress she donned to tea time with none other than Paddington Bear, complete with her usual blue coat and red hat, paired with a large black bag concealing a jam sandwich. .
Celebrities were also seen showing off their A-game fashion with supermodels Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss nodding to British design in their appearances at the show on Sunday: Campbell was photographed in a classic Burberry trench coat and Moss evoked the Union Jack wearing a red, white and black suit. short blue jacket
