Every day, whether on social media or on television, we hear about women who are victims. There are so many women’s stories available and you can hear about sexual violence or random attack by strangers as well as being abused in some way. The world is changing and becoming more unpredictable, particularly for women.
Self defense training is one of the most necessary and should be on every woman’s to-do list. In the world of crime, self defense training is necessary for women to resist any type of sexual assault as well as random attacks.
Reasons why self-defense is necessary
The basic importance for women’s security is to be able to protect themselves against anything unacceptable in terms of social conduct.
Women must be aware and have the confidence to analyze dangerous situations and take steps to deal with them effectively.
Self-advocacy empowers women to lead healthy and fulfilling lives by encouraging them to deal with stressful and dangerous situations independently.
Self-advocacy helps women become calmer, more understanding, more flexible, gain control of body and mind, be more receptive than reactive, be more observant, and achieve cognitive awareness.
Learning self defense makes you independent and helps you protect yourself in every situation.
Health & Beauty
Self defense is also a fun way to exercise and build a healthy body, thereby improving physical and mental health.
Crimes against women can be significantly curbed when women are empowered to fight against any discrimination.
Here are some self defense techniques.
If you feel insecure while walking at night, make your keys protrude from the side of your fist to hit with the hammer.
Hold your key fob in a tight fist, like holding a hammer, with the keys extending from the side of your hand. And then push down towards your target.
Kick in the groin-
A kick to the groin offers enough force to paralyze your attacker, making your escape possible.
Stabilize yourself as best you can. Lift your dominant leg off the ground and start driving your knee up. Extend your lead leg, drive your hips forward, lean back slightly and kick hard, making contact between the bottom of your shin or toe and the attacker’s groin area.
If the attacker is in close range and you can’t get enough momentum to launch a strong punch or kick, use your elbows.
Stabilize with a strong core and legs to ensure a powerful punch. Bend your arm at the elbow, shift your weight forward, and strike your attacker’s neck, jaw, chin, or temple with your elbow. All of these are effective targets. This can cause your attacker to loosen their grip, allowing you to run.
heel palm strike
To execute this technique, get in front of your attacker as much as possible. This movement mainly causes damage to the nose or throat.
With your dominant hand, flex your wrist. Aim either at the attacker’s nose, striking straight up from the nostrils, or under the attacker’s chin, striking straight up at the throat. Make sure you back your punch. Pulling your arm back quickly will help push the attacker’s head up and back. This will cause your attacker to stagger back, allowing you to escape from his grasp.
