ITHACA, New York – Five Ithaca College student-athletes were selected as Liberty League Artists of the Week on November 21.
OFFENSIVE SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK: jake williams
jake williams he scored three touchdowns in Ithaca’s 63-20 win over UMass Dartmouth in the first round of the NCAA Division III Championship. Williams hauled in an 11-yard touchdown run for the first score of the contest and then ran in a pair of 1-yard touchdown runs, all in the first quarter. He finished the game with 80 rushing yards on 14 carries.
WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – jessica goode
jessica goode he made his first appearance at the NCAA Division III Championships in his first year with the program, finishing 117th out of 292 runners with a time of 23:35.6. He started the race 118th after one mile and returned to 157th halfway through the course, but improved 40 places before crossing the finish line.
MEN’S BASKETBALL COART OF THE WEEK: Luka Radovich
Luka Radovich he scored a career-high 40 points on 16-of-26 shooting, including 7-of-14 from 3-point range in Ithaca’s 95-80 win over Keystone. Radovich also grabbed seven rebounds.
Emily Dorn had a breakout week for the No. 20/22 Ithaca as the Bombers won a pair of games against Geneseo and Catholic University. Dorn was outstanding in handing Catholic its first loss of the season (67-65) as she posted her first career double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. She had eight additional points and eight rebounds in a 57-50 win over SUNY Geneseo.
WOMEN SWIMMER OF THE WEEK: Emily Vander Sleen
The Bombers defeated the RIT on Saturday 181-118 and Emily Vander Sleen it led the way for IC to win three individual events. VanderSleen had an outstanding meet as she individually won the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.16), the 100-yard freestyle (53.91) and was also crowned the 50-yard freestyle champion with a final time of 24.38, which was only about a second faster than Khavy Sangasy. She was also victorious in the team 400-yard freestyle relay with jane pfeuffer, Josephine Holman Y kate champagne for the win with a recorded time of 3:37.83.
WOMEN’S DIVE OF THE WEEK – queen pawcio
In diving action, queen pawcio (277.45) won in the 3 meter plank beating her partner abby marraccino (264.50). Pawcio went on to finish second in the 1 meter boards as leah levin she outscored her teammate by just over 10 points with a final score of 287.50.
HONOR ROLL
jonathan komas he led the IC defense with nine total tackles and hauled in a 21-yard touchdown run during the Bombers’ 63–20 win over UMass Dartmouth in the first round of the NCAA Division III Championship.
Nicholas Bahamonde he went 9-of-9 on point after tries in Ithaca’s 63-20 win against UMass Dartmouth in the first round of the NCAA Division III Championship. Bahamonde also kicked three touchbacks in 10 kickoffs.
