Syracuse, NY – The Le Moyne College men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams recorded a sweep of The College of Saint Rose on Sunday afternoon at the Rev. Vincent B. Ryan, SJ pool. The women were victorious 151-75 and the men recorded a 169-59 victory.

The Senior Quartet genevieve (Kalaupapa, Hawaii/University Laboratory School)second year student Ella Kaback (Delmar, New York/Bethlehem)First year student Brooke Sommo (Guilderland, New York/Guilderland) and red shirt sophomore MaryLauren Burke (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton) He opened the meet by winning the 200-yard medley relay by over 5 1/2 seconds with a time of 1:55.54.

Second year student Hanna Kellogg (Cazenovia, New York/Chittenango) he was victorious in the 1,650-yard freestyle by over 1:42 after hitting the wall in 18:53.37.

red shirt sophomore lily buchholz (Skaneateles, New York/Skaneateles) he captured the 200-yard freestyle by nearly nine seconds with a time of 2:05.65.

Senior Caitlyn Longway (Sauquoit, New York/Sauquoit Valley) he led the field in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.47 seconds.

First year student riley burn (New Hartford, New York/New Hartford) he swept both 1-meter diving events. She won the first one with a score of 141.10 and the second one with 182.80 points.

Burke took the victory in the 100-yard freestyle by almost a second with a time of 55.91 seconds.

Kikukawa took the victory in the 100-yard backstroke by more than six and a half seconds with a time of 1:01.93.

Senior madison record (Syracuse, New York/West Genesee) he scored the victory in the 500-yard freestyle by 2.87 seconds with a mark of 5:33.12.

Longway, Kikukawa, Burke and Buchholz closed out the competition by winning the 200-yard freestyle relay by nearly eight seconds in a time of 1:42.25.

On the men’s side, the sophomore team dominic fratto (Waterloo, New York/Waterloo)sophomore red shirt ryan mcmahon (Syracuse, New York/West Genesee)senior charles morris (East Aurora, New York/East Aurora) and second year Belal Aly (Syracuse, New York/PSAL at Fowler) he won the opening 200-yard medley relay of the meet by 0.48 seconds with a time of 1:38.66.

Senior jose malone (Merrick, N.Y./Wellington C. Mepham/SUNY Old Westbury) he claimed victory in the 1,650-yard freestyle by over 44 seconds with a mark of 17:44.40. He completed the sweep of the distance events with a time of 5:06.93 in the 500-yard freestyle to win by nearly two seconds.

First year student Xavier Silaica (Rexford, NY/Shenendehowa) he won the 200-yard freestyle by just 0.05 seconds after hitting the wall in 1:53.30.

Morris posted an individual victory in the 50-yard freestyle by 0.80 seconds with a time of 21.75 seconds.

First year student Stafford (Charlton, N.Y./Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) he earned a 17-second victory in the 400-yard MI with a time of 4:30.29. Two events later, he won the 100-yard butterfly by almost a second in 54.53 seconds.

Second year student justin byrne (Syracuse, New York/West Genesee) he swept both 1-meter diving events. He was victorious in the first event with 187.80 points and recorded 299.30 points to win the second.

Aly won the 100-yard freestyle by almost a second and a half with a time of 48.83 seconds.

Fratto claimed the 100-yard backstroke by over three seconds by hitting the wall in 55.02 seconds.

Stafford, Aly and Fratto teamed up with sophomore Jay Hicks (Oneida, NY/Oneida) to win the 200-yard freestyle relay which ended the contest by over six seconds with a time of 1:30.83.
