Chef Reggie Aspiras’ Siopao Marinade
Constantly bringing something new to the table, 7-Eleven’s creativity in making delicious and convenient food selections is again demonstrated through a tasty twist on the unofficial national dish of the Philippines, Adobo. In collaboration with renowned Filipino chef Chef Reggie Aspiras, the brand launches its latest member of 7-Fresh ‘Siopao-mily’: the 7-Fresh Adobo Siopao.
For a literal dish on a bun, people don’t have to pay much to get that dose of food and satisfaction for busy days, as in-person classes and back-to-offices are in full swing this year. It comes in regular size and retails for as little as Php43 each. Going for this cost-effective snack doesn’t have to break the budget, especially for students, office workers, and foodies who are always on the go and looking for affordable yet satisfying treats.
Baon hunters can also try more flavors from 7-Fresh’s extensive siopao menu: Economy (Asado, BolaBola, BBQ Roast Chicken, Garlic Chicken, Chorizo-VIS), Regular (Roast Chicken, BolaBola Chicken), Premium (Asado, BolaBola), and Special Variant (Vikings Tuna Melt and Pizza Siopao, Mushroom Chicken-MIN).
Chef Margarita Forés’ ‘Apericena’
The Tasting Club, in partnership with the Italian Embassy and Chef Margarita Forés, is pleased to invite you to a unique “Apericena” on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at The Loggia at Palacio de Memoria.
The “Apericena” is an Italian ritual that is an encounter between an aperitif and a dinner. The word itself is a contraction of “Appetizer” for appetizer and “Dinner” for dinner. This common practice in Italy is an invitation to enjoy drinks with hearty snacks and canapés in a social and friendly atmosphere.
The various dishes will be paired with a selection of 7 fine wines selected by The Tasting Club and produced in all Italian provinces from traditional grape varieties using sustainable production methods. Prestigious and award-winning wines, such as Masottina, Prosecco Collezione 96 Brut DOC (96 points by Decanter) and Avignonesi, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2015 DOCG (92 points by Decanter), will be featured for this special occasion.

VegFest Pilipinas returns
VegFest Pilipinas returns to the face-to-face festival this year on November 19 and 20, from 9 am to night.
This year’s overarching theme is all about kindness embedded in the look and practice of intersectional veganism. The festival aims to link the non-violence and animal liberation movement to different struggles against oppression and abuse. This is why it will feature speakers who are also LGBTQIA+, Human Rights and Environmental Rights activists. In addition, a documentary film made in the Philippines called “Delikado” will be screened. This is a must see as it follows the deadly struggle of indigenous land defenders in Palawan. According to the festival, 100 percent of the proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorship will go to the beneficiaries: the PPBCC Foundation (Kapon | Philippine Pet Birth Control Center Foundation, Inc. | Mandaluyong) and the SIFCare Foundation (https: //sifcare.org/).
