Moms for Liberty and 1776 PAC help parental rights candidates win local school board races

Moms for Liberty and the 1776 Political Action Committee (PAC) are two new groups lobbying against schools that sexualize Y confuse kids Y indoctrinate they in woke up ideology.

Both organizations supported school board candidates who want to protect children and affirm parental rights. Both saw race wins across the country on November 8.

moms for freedom was founded in January 2021 by Tiffany Justice, wife and mother of four school-age children, and Tina Descovich, wife and mother of five children. In less than two years, the the group has grown to 240 chapters in 42 states, with more than 100,000 members.

Both women had served on school boards in Florida and grew up concerned on parental rights in education, mask mandates, and sexually explicit and inappropriate materials in schools. They were also concerned about the huge political spending by teachers’ unions, most of it going to politicians and left-wing causes.

In 2021, Breitbart News reported that the National Education Association (NEA) and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) collected $577 million in dues. The NEA “spent $66 million pushing a far-left political agenda, while it spent only $32 million on its members.”

Justice and Descovich said Breitbart,

Radical teacher unions have controlled public education for decades. They don’t represent the interests of American parents, and their $500 million budget is clearly not spent on representing their own membership.

Beyond political spending, through curriculum, training, and resources, the NEA and AFT promote radical ideas and groups such as Black Lives Matter at school, Family planningComprehensive Sexuality Education,” abortion, Critical Race Theory (CRT), and LGBT ideology.

1776 CAP Projectstarted by Ryan Girdusky, author of they are not listening: How Elites Created the Populist National Revolutionis another new organization that started targeting school board elections recently, starting in 2021.

According to USA Today1776 Project PAC has raised $3.2 million through the end of October, endorsing conservative candidates for school boards in a dozen states.

Girdusky reported on Twitter,

I have received many calls and text messages congratulating me on the work that @1776ProjectPac has done. 2021-2022 was a great cycle with more than 100 victories.

Girdusky points to an article in the new yorker that it regrets the victories of the candidates who support parental authority; oppose the teaching of CRT; and supporting “‘educational freedom’ in the form of more public funding for charter schools, vouchers for private schools, homeschooling, and microschools.”

Note the left-wing magazine’s use of scare quotes about “educational freedom,” as if giving parents choices in educating their children is a bad thing.

The article also furthers the lie that CRT is not taught in schools, calling opponents of the indoctrination of children “ghostbusters.” The magazine believes there is a “manufactured culture war” over CRT, “LGBTQ-class materials, the sexual ‘grooming’ of children and other vehicles of ‘leftist’ indoctrination, as well as lingering resentment of the covid-19 lockdowns.” .

the new yorker That’s wrong; This is not a “manufactured” culture war.

It is a real battle to protect the hearts and minds of children in public schools.

Congratulations to Moms for Liberty and 1776 Project Pac on their victories, and may they continue to defeat the awakening ideologues.
