Orphan Black invests deeply in its multiple characters, clearly chiseling their lives on the Toronto stage. Felix (Jordan Gavaris) is the charming counterpoint to the debauchery of Sarah, a gay painter and sex worker who puts up with the crazy bad guys who threaten her life and are inadvertently brought to her door by Sarah.

Donny (Kristian Bruun) stands out as a bumbling husband who is the epitome of getting into situations where he’s in over his head. A sugar-obsessed assassin, a ruthless soccer mom, a clever scientist, and more enrich the population of this multi-layered world.

The Characters Ensure Orphan Black Shines: Amidst the occasional raw violence, cool science, and cold cinematography, these lovable underdog heroes bring a cluelessness that you love. It all results in brilliant hilarity.
