Starting next winter, passengers will be able to choose between four winter trips that run between Paris and one of the highest mountain ranges in the world: the French Alps. And the best part? Launched in December 2023, the 17-inch car train You’ll travel through the unspoilt French countryside, reaching resorts like Albertville, Moûtiers, and Bourg-Saint-Maurice. Starting in Paris, you’ll enjoy a round of evening cocktails at Bar Car ‘3674’ followed by seasonal dishes prepared by chef Jean Imbert, who joined the company’s culinary team earlier this year. year. The next morning, enjoy French-style pastries from the comfort of your stateroom, overlooking the stunning Savoy region. A more hearty brunch will then be served before engaging in any alpine activities. The highly anticipated excursion to the French Alps comes shortly after Belmond’s Venice Simplon-Orient-Express revealed that, for the first time since its maiden voyage in 1982, it would extend the annual season. Usually the train only runs from March to November. However, throughout the month of December 2022, the brand offered 10 overnight excursions to party destinations such as Florence, Paris, Venice and Vienna.
