The Olympic Games are heading to Paris in 2024.
If you want to cross the Channel and get to the Games, there isn’t much time left to apply for tickets and this is how you do it.
Where and when are the next Summer Olympics?
In 2024 the Games will take place in Paris between July 26 and August 11.
Billed as the “biggest event ever to take place in the city”, all eyes will be on our French neighbors as they host the games in their capital for the first time in 100 years.
More than 10,000 athletes competing in more than 32 sports and disciplines will take part in events at 37 competition venues, organizers expect.
Can you get tickets from the UK?
Yes! The Paris 2024 Games are set to welcome visitors from all over the world and with the continent just a short train, flight or even drive from England, it could be one of the easiest games to reach outside of the UK.

How do I request tickets?
There is only one site, organizers say, that sells official tickets for the Olympic Games and that is here. Any other ticketing site, is the advice, should be avoided.
To be in with a chance of purchasing tickets, you must enter the Paris 2024 draw, which, if successful, will offer you a time purchase slot in which to purchase tickets for your chosen event.
You have until 6:00 p.m. on January 31, 2023 to participate in the draw that will give you access a few weeks later to buy your game pack.
While you wait to find out the results of the draw, the organizers suggest that budding ticket buyers start looking at the events, the competition schedule and the different sessions and sports you prefer to get an idea of what you would like. see, and if it’s a schedule that allows you to move between the venues, should you have a chance to dive in and shop.
What happens if I am successful in the draw?
If your name is chosen in the draw, you will receive an email between February 13 and March 15, 2023 giving you access to ticket sales for a limited 48-hour period.
Your email letting you know you’ve been successful will arrive two days before your checkout space opens, so make sure you use an address when you sign up that you’ll be checking regularly so you don’t miss any notifications, and make sure you check your items not! wanted too!
Once your timeslot has opened, you’ll have 48 hours to choose your events, or do what’s known as creating a ‘game pack’ – add them to your basket and checkout.
A game package will entitle you to choose three events, or sessions, but you must select exactly the same number of tickets for each event up to a maximum of six for each event. You will be able to check availability for each event during the point at which your specific time slot is live. You can create more than one game pack, but each account will be limited to a maximum of 30 total tickets.
Once you have successfully purchased your tickets you will be able to log into your account to see what has been chosen and eventually closer to the Games your tickets and passes will also be available via a specially designed app.
How much do the tickets cost?
Ten million tickets will be available for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. One million tickets will start at €24, or around £21, and will be available across all Olympic sports where tickets are on sale.
The starting price of a Make Your Games pack of three sessions is €72, and corresponds to a €24 ticket for each of the three sessions.
Nearly half of the tickets available to the general public are priced at €50 or less, organizers promise, but ticket prices will vary depending on the category, sport and session chosen.
What happens if there is no purchase space?
If you did not win a spot in the initial drawing, an email will be sent to let you know on March 15 that you were unsuccessful. But don’t panic, organizers say, more ticketing opportunities will be available in spring 2023.
Between March and the end of April, a new registration period will open for the sale of single tickets.
In early May 2023, slots for this purchase option will be released before single ticket sales open later that month.
