The John R. Wooden Award 2022-23 Preseason Watchlist was announced today, revealing the 50 most outstanding women’s college basketball players expected to participate in the award this season.

Unsurprisingly, this list includes 2021 John R. Wooden Award winner and national champion, Aliyah Boston, along with 2021 Wooden Award All-American Caitlin Clark (Iowa).

According to premiodemadera.comPrior to the winner’s announcement, the John R. Wooden Award Committee will release a mid-season and late-season survey in January and early February detailing the student-athletes competing for the award.

In late February, the National Wooden Award Council will list all 15 male and female student-athletes on the ballot for the award. A list of All-Americans will be announced in March, and the winners will finally be awarded in early April.
